Lucy Lockwood

Lucy runs a team of IT specialists in CERN’s HR department. With 10 years’ experience in HR-related software development, process improvement, and project management, Lucy is responsible for ensuring the IT solutions used in CERN’s HR department best serve their needs, today and looking forward to tomorrow. In 2008 she made the move from IT to HR where she began her drive to automate and modernise HR’s administrative processes in line with HR’s strategy. Lucy bridges the gap between administration and technology. She strives to modernise, innovate and make a difference. CERN delivers world-class, ground-breaking science, and Lucy team’s challenge is to ensure HR’s IT systems are as modern as the science taking place at CERN. Lucy was born in the UK, and studied Computing and Information Systems at the University of the West of England, Bristol. Outside of work Lucy loves to cook with her kids and is an occasional runner.
